Chem. 542 Policies

          Students should attend the lectures, unless the time difference makes attending impossible.

You should make a serious effort to solve each homework problem before seeking help.  If you are stuck, you may obtain help from the instructors, the teaching assistant, or other students.  Working in groups is fine, but make sure you get a chance to think about each problem on your own before you obtain clues from someone else.  Copying solutions from any source is strictly prohibited and will automatically result in zero credit for the entire assignment. 

Grades for Chem. 542 will be calculated based on assignments and exams with the following weights:

Homework              40%

Midterm 1               20%

Midterm 2               20%

Project                    20%
